Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address through our authentication provider, Clerk. We do not store passwords.
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage Data: We collect basic usage data such as which pages you visit and your theme preferences. We do not track you across other websites.

- To send you daily journaling prompt emails (if you opt in)

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our systems. Stripe may retain payment records as required by law.

To delete your account and data: Email hello@thedailyjot.com with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account, subscription records, and any associated data within 30 days. If you signed in with Facebook, this also removes any data received from Facebook.
8. Email Communications
If you opt in to daily emails, we will send you one email per day with the journaling prompt. You can opt out at any time from your account settings. We will never share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
9. Amazon Affiliate
Our shop page contains affiliate links to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click these links, Amazon's own privacy policy applies.
10. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
